It has been a long time (more than 1 year) since I registered this domain name listenmonster. However, due to problems, I was never able to make it live.
In the starting days, it was a side project for me. So did not put attention to this project. On top of that, I have fired some junior-level developers.
Basically, I never pay full attention to this project. That’s why it took me so longer. But now since I have solid or shut down all of my previous business. I have enough time to give this project.
This time I did not hire any project. Actually, I found a partner for this project. I want to say big thanks to Raman and Mohit for making it live. Actually, they are the developers behind this project. I’m a digital marketer.
How to use ListenMonster?
Basically, we are using Whisper for transcribing content. In case you don’t know this is an open ai (ChatGPT parent company) model to transcribe the content.
Unlike other traditional speech-to-text APIs, it is excellent in transcription and is free. OpenAi is also offering Whisper API in case you don’t want to install Whisper on your server. Let’s face it, it requires heavy GPU processing to transcribe the content.
Our Future Plans
Our plan is simple, gather a mass audience by offering for free. Then add new features and start charging money for unique features.
That’s why today listenmonster is free, we will try to keep a free plan forever (without a watermark) but I can’t make any promises right now. Since I don’t have data on how users behave.
When you offer things for free that nobody is offering then you attract a lot of users.
